Process
Each oil painting begins with a monochromatic underpainting to establish composition and value. When the underpainting is dry, Lisa applies hundreds of thin layers of oil paint mixed with refined linseed oil to build depth, bringing color and life to each piece. This process can take weeks to months and occasionally up to a year to complete. Upon drying, the work is varnished and set in a hand-built frame.
